PRODUCTION

CDS electronics bv is specialized in serial productions,
from a few hundred to over one hundred thousand products. Most of our products
are manufactured according to a three-step process; SMA (surface mount assembly),
TH (through hole) production, and test and inspection.
The SMA production process capabilities range from very small chip devices to large flat pack devices. Two separate production lines for installing the components are available, and the hot air reflow process guarantees a well-defined temperature profile during soldering. As one of the first CDS electronics bv installed specialised ultrasoon cleaning equipment to optimise the quality in solder past stencilling, the first production step in SMA production.
If required, boards with SMD components on both sides can be handled.
The TH production completes the products with through hole components and electro mechanical components as relays and connectors.
A dual waves soldering machine guarantees reliable solder joints. The final assembly and mounting in its housing completes the product.
In cooperation with the customer, final test requirements are specified, and products will only be released for delivery when they have passed these requirements. The test requirements may include a combination of MDA (manufacturing defect analyses) inspections, functional tests and burn-in.
For most products, specialized test set-ups are devised to minimize handling and test time. How, and how thoroughly, products are tested is often a trade-of between test time and risks involved. Therefore, close collaboration between the manufacturer and customer is essential to find the optimum solution.
